Our customer services phone line is manned by Laura between 9.30 & 1.30 Monday to Friday. She will be able to help with all artificial enquiries. Phone calls made outside these times will go through to Peter the boss of Big Plant Company or to answerphone. 01 January 2007 - Care of Artificial Plant Displays
Cleaning of Artificial Plant Displays
The foliage of artificial plants should be cleaned regularly with an electrostatic duster to remove dust. The type of duster to be used is shown in the photo and is available from many high street shops. The planters can be cleaned using a general household liquid non-abrasive cleaner.
Moving the plants
Always move the plants by lifiting the container not the plant itself. Fibre glass containers can be fragile and should not be subjected to knocks or be dropped.
Repairs
If the occasional leaf spray comes adrift from the central wooden stem, it can be fixed back into the hole by using PVA or a clear adhesive glue.

Recent installatioins undertaken by us in the last six months include 4 boxwood hedges for the pavement area of a coffee bar in Pontypridd, 3 mixed foliage displays for the factory floor at IBS in Luton where the Vivaro van is made and 4 troughs for the stage at Belmont Chapel in Exeter,. 25 April 2006 - Latest Installation
Last week we installed 12 Topiary displays in the balcony of a new London Appartment overlooking the River Thames. 10 Boxwood Balls were planted in our Medium sized High Gloss Black Glass-Fibre planters and the 2 cones in our Tall Glass-Fibre planters.
15 May 2007 - Featured in Channel 4's Grand Designs
Did you see our flowers and trees on Grand Designs last night on More 4. We were very excited to be asked to supply artificial trees and flowers to this home in Exmouth. The house is a Florida-style beach house overlooking the sea. The plants are an integral part of the interior scheme. A stunning 10ft Areca Palm makes an instant impact as you enter the hallway and a second Areca is a feature in the open plan living area. Modern tapered ceramic pots were used to match the decor and each pot was dressed with polished pebbles. A magnificent orchid sits on the glass table in the dining area and a Buddha bamboo decorates the master bedroom.

Big Plant Shop were selected by Argos to ehance the reception area and add the finishing touch to the refurbished rest room at their South-west distribution depot near Bridgwater. 9 trees and 2 foliage displays were provided. The trees were planted in our new Kubik planters in textured silver.
26 June 2004 - When will my product arrive and is carriage charged for?
All our trees are delivered flat-packed which minimises any chance of damage. The branches and the foliage need to be arranged. Details of how to dress your tree will be enclosed with your delivery. If you need any help please call the Helpline. If you ordered 4 or more trees and requested them to be potted in planters they will be delivered on a pallet, which ensures they will not be damaged in transit.
Delivery charges are £15 per order. If your trees are not potted and the total value of your order is over £250, delivery is free.
Flowers, if in glass or ceramic pots are sent by carrier and are charged up to £15 per item.
We are dependent on Third Parties for most of our deliveries which sent by carrier for Next Day delivery. We can sometimes despatch on the day after you have placed your order, so you will receive it 2 days later. If we are busy however it can take up to 5 working days before your delivery is despatched. If you need your order quickly or for a specific day please note that when placing your order and/or ring our helpline to advise us. You will find we are friendly and helpful and will do everything within our power to meet your request.
If you have ordered pots with your trees and asked us to pot them the delivery time can take a day longer. We need to plant the trees, let them harden, dress the top, and rewrap the tree. If you have ordered more than 4 trees they will be delivered on a pallet and wrapped in a heavy duty cardboard case to protect them.
Allow at least 5 days to receive a palletised delivery but again ring us if you need the goods by a special date. If access to your address is difficult for a large lorry please let us know in advance.
Small items (plants) are sent by business post and are charged at £6 for 1, 2 or 3 items, depending on size.
All charges quoted include VAT.
